As an IT Technician II at Meissner, you will be stepping into a vital role that ensures the seamless operation of the company's technology systems. This position is on-site at the Athens location and offers a competitive base pay scale ranging from $22.32 to $27.45 per hour, reflecting experience and expertise. This role focuses on advanced technical support for end-users, including resolving escalated issues and collaborating with other IT teams on diverse projects including systems monitoring, security incident response, user provisioning, and deployments.
You'll be responsible for maintaining critical IT assets, supporting network and server infrastructure, managing telephony systems, and assisting with hardware deployments. Job Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma
- 2-3 years of working experience in a similar position
- CompTIA or other relevant certification preferred
- Must be fluent with MS Office software including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Working knowledge of operating systems and equipment
- Understanding of Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications
- Strong English language written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of the Windows Client and server operating systems including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
- Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint
- Knowledge of printing technologies and connectivity
- Understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware/Hyper-V, thin clients and RDP
- Knowledge of networking technologies such as TCP/IP and stack, network cabling

Job Duties
- Respond to incoming incidents and requests for end-user support with workstation hardware and software, Server support and Network support
- Provide support for on-site and remote end-users
- Document, track, and monitor incidents and requests in detail with follow-up within the Meissner ITSM platform
- Ensure ticket service level target is met through follow-up
- Follow escalation procedures to include other departments as needed, inside or outside of the IT Department
- Keep system images up to date
- Assist with new IT hardware deployment
- Maintain Cisco Telephony Systems - trouble response and user provisioning
- Support VPN client technology/connection
- Provide other technical support needs as required, including mobile devices, tablets, and apps
- Establish maintenance schedules of IT assets in the maintenance software
- Organize and assist with Zebra label printer maintenance
- Determine computer spare parts and hardware inventory levels
- Perform computer software updates, virus, and malware cleanup
- Set up and maintain special workstation image backups
- Monitor server rooms and related equipment on both system health and environment conditions
- Perform off hours maintenance and upgrades
- Perform hardware and software upgrades
- Assist with network and telephony system upgrades
- Maintain and create IT documentation
- Assist in IT infrastructure upgrades
- Support IT Developers with their project needs and deployments
