The position available is for an IT Support Specialist based in Aurora, Illinois, an important regional hub of the company, serving as a vital support role within the Americas Region. This role emphasizes local and remote IT support across several office and production sites, supporting approximately 400 users along with production and warehouse employees when necessary. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be integral to maintaining and improving the IT environment, ensuring seamless digital workflows and efficient hardware and software management. This role supports the digital transformation efforts within Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions by proactively engaging with users to gather feedback and implement continuous enhancements.
Your daily responsibilities cover a broad scope including the management of local site IT infrastructure, hands-on technical support for PCs, mobile devices, label printers, hand scanners, IP cameras, and other IT equipment, in addition to collaborating with second-level support teams to tackle complex technical challenges. Procurement of IT supplies and coordination with external service providers will also fall under your purview, ensuring consistent and reliable IT resource availability. Moreover, you will contribute to IT projects at local, regional, and corporate levels, partake in documentation efforts, and maintain detailed inventory systems, thereby supporting organizational efficiencies and the overarching IT strategy.

Job Requirements
- Associates or BS degree in IT or related field preferred
- Previous IT work experience preferred
- Knowledge in PC hardware, printers, Microsoft software, and network administration
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to train users
- Ability to work with remote teams
- Willingness to travel up to 5%
- Spanish language skills are a plus
Job Qualifications
- Associates or BS degree in IT, IT-related field, Business Administration or Business Informatics or completed relevant vocational training
- Previous IT work experience preferred
- Knowledge of PC hardware, printers, Microsoft software, and network administration
- Certifications are a plus
- Excellent customer service and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to train and advise users on digital workplace tools
- Understanding of standardized enterprise IT landscapes
- Ability to work with remote and cross-cultural teams
- Spanish language skills are a plus
- Willingness to travel up to 5%
Job Duties
- Provide local and remote IT support to regional HQ, production, warehouse, and multiple office sites
- Engage proactively with users to understand IT needs and drive digital transformation
- Manage local site IT infrastructure and collaborate with second-level support
- Configure, deploy, administer, and troubleshoot hardware and software including PCs, mobile devices, printers, and cameras
- Purchase IT consumables and maintain inventory
- Coordinate external IT service providers
- Participate in IT project implementations and documentation
