The Food Service Supervisor role is a leadership position requiring hands-on management along with operational coordination supported by a manager. This role involves overseeing staff, maintaining food safety and quality standards, managing schedules, and ensuring efficient daily operations. Candidates for this position will be responsible for producing and maintaining work schedules, directing daily activities, supervising and evaluating employees, and maintaining inventory and sanitation standards. Food Service Supervisors support employee growth, morale, teamwork, and safety. This role requires multitasking, effective communication with staff, and occasionally working nights and weekends, particularly for catered events.
Food Service Supervisors will have opportunities to develop and mentor others, perform preventive maintenance, maintain accurate logs and documentation related to food safety and equipment, and uphold Aramark's policies and procedures. Supervisors are expected to foster good public relations and can be called upon to fill in for absent employees or perform cashier duties as needed. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
- Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions
- Completion of sanitation course before or during first year
- Knowledge of food safety and health regulations
- Basic arithmetic skills
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stressful situations
- Effective interpersonal communication skills
- Availability to work nights and weekends as needed
- Ability to perform multitasking and manage diverse responsibilities
Job Qualifications
- Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
- Must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year
- Knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
- Maintain emotional control under stress

Job Duties
- Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
- Direct daily activities
- Maintain food production to ensure safety and quality according to policies
- Ensure safe and organized storage of food items
- Maintain serving schedules and ensure food is served per menu specifications
- Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate weekly inventory
- Prepare orders to ensure accurate production
- Supervise and evaluate employees and promote teamwork and morale
- Maintain safe and hazard-free working environment
- Train and mentor food service workers
- Maintain maintenance logs for equipment
- Complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
- Perform preventative maintenance checklist
- Recommend equipment replacement as needed
- Multi-task proficiently
- Perform other duties as assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
- Fill in for absent employees as necessary
- Maintain knowledge of daily catering events and ensure timely preparation and delivery
- Work occasional night and weekend catered events
- Attend food service meetings
- Maintain communication with staff via multiple channels
- Perform cashier duties as needed
- Promote good public relations
