The position based at the Sparks, Nevada site is an on-site role focusing on the maintenance and support of IT infrastructure including PCs, network hardware, telecommunications equipment, conveyor systems, and security systems. This role requires a hands-on professional responsible for ensuring that all company-owned technology hardware and software operate smoothly and efficiently. Key responsibilities include installing and maintaining PC and network equipment, performing preventative maintenance on printers, managing network cabling installation, and overseeing daily backup procedures for company servers. Essential telecommunications duties involve troubleshooting and maintaining telephones, fax machines, and paging systems, as well as managing replacements and updates of phone listings.

Additionally, the role involves maintaining the automated print/apply labeling conveyor system, replacing and maintaining essential sensors, and assisting with programming issues related to the conveyor and sorting systems. The employee will also support the security infrastructure by maintaining both on-site and off-site building security systems, camera systems, DVRs, and access badge systems. The position extends to supporting special company events, both on-site and off-site, providing IT and equipment support as needed.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in IT support or related field
  • Ability to work onsite at Sparks, Nevada facility
  • Familiarity with network cabling and installation
  • Capability to maintain and support security camera and badge systems
  • Competence in handling telecommunications equipment
  • Availability to support special events as required

Job Qualifications

  • Experience with PC and network equipment installation and maintenance
  • Knowledge of telecommunications systems and devices
  • Familiarity with automated conveyor and labeling systems
  • Understanding of building security systems and access control

Job Duties

  • Installing and maintaining all PC and networking equipment
  • Scheduling and validating preventative maintenance on printers
  • Maintaining supplies and spare equipment for PC, printer, and networking hardware
  • Planning and installing network cabling when required
  • Managing daily backup routines for all company owned servers
  • Troubleshooting and maintaining telecommunications devices including telephones, fax machines, and paging systems
  • Ordering and replacing damaged phones and issuing updated phone listings
  • Maintaining the automated print/apply labeling conveyor system
  • Replacing and maintaining Accu-Sort scanners and photo-eyes
  • Reporting programming issues with conveyor systems
  • Assisting facilities personnel with conveyor divert timing
  • Troubleshooting box and sort systems
  • Maintaining and supporting onsite and off-site security systems including cameras and DVRs
  • Maintaining and upgrading Secure Perfect personnel badge system
  • Supporting company sponsored onsite and offsite special events
