Job Description

Yanfeng is a prominent global automotive supplier specializing in interior, exterior, seating, cockpit electronics, and passive safety systems for vehicles. With a presence spanning over 240 locations worldwide and a workforce of approximately 57,000 employees, Yanfeng is firmly established in the automotive industry as a leader in innovation and technology. The company boasts a strong technical team composed of 4,200 experts distributed across 10 research and development centers and regional offices. These professionals possess comprehensive capabilities in engineering, software development, styling, and test validation. Yanfeng is dedicated to advancing smart cabin and lightweight technology, striving to support automakers in exploring futuristic mobility solutions and delivering cutting-edge cabin designs.

The role offered is deeply embedded within Yanfeng's technical operations and focuses on the implementation, support, and enhancement of manufacturing application solutions such as Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and other related production platforms. This position is crucial for maintaining the mission-critical manufacturing IT infrastructure that ensures smooth and efficient production workflows in automotive manufacturing environments. Candidates in this role will provide Level 1 support, including after-hours and weekend assistance during incidents that affect production, ensuring minimal downtime and swift resolution of system issues. Additionally, the role involves analyzing current business and manufacturing processes to discover opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and safety while boosting overall system performance.

This role entails developing and documenting both functional and technical requirements to bolster current business operations and prepare for future enhancements. Candidates will be responsible for troubleshooting a variety of issues related to applications, interfaces, and infrastructure, collaborating closely with vendors and internal teams to implement timely solutions. Monitoring system interfaces, logs, and error reports proactively to prevent problems before they escalate is an important part of the job. Moreover, the position requires creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation, work instructions, and knowledge base articles to support knowledge sharing and operational continuity.

Supporting the deployment of new manufacturing technologies and strategic enterprise solutions will be part of the responsibilities, alongside managing support requests, system administration, and maintenance activities. The candidate will also support PC and server infrastructure within manufacturing facilities, including backup and recovery administration, and work collaboratively with infrastructure and operations teams for system upgrades, changes, and integrations. Participation in continuous improvement initiatives at both regional and global levels is expected to ensure Yanfeng remains at the forefront of manufacturing system technology.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. This individual will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where multitasking and prioritization are essential. The candidate will demonstrate a strong attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence, contributing to Yanfeng’s mission to provide outstanding customer support and maintain effective communication with plant personnel, vendors, and stakeholders. This role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic team driving innovation in the automotive manufacturing industry.
