Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years IT and logistics or supply chain management experience
- Ability to manage logistics software and shipment tracking technology
- Forklift certification upon hire preferred
- Skilled in operating heavy machinery for pallet handling
- Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds
- Located in or willing to relocate to Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with changing climate
- Must be able to multi-task and manage tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- No travel required
- Ability to work from office five days a week
Job Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years IT and logistics or supply chain management experience, preferably within IT
- 1+ years experience in the cruise and/or travel industry preferred
- Forklift Certification (OSHA) upon hire preferred
- Ability to manage logistics software systems and technology related to inventory and shipment tracking
- Solid knowledge of IT equipment and familiarity with a wide range of IT programs
- Skilled in operating heavy machinery for moving and wrapping pallets
- Excellent skills in critical thinking, creative problem solving, and root cause analysis
- Excellent communication, team building, conflict management, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to quickly learn and teach new technologies and concepts
- Proven track record of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Comfortable doing business across various teams and cultural backgrounds
Job Duties
- Oversee and maintain the loading schedule for each ship, ensuring all activities are planned according to operational timelines
- Conduct thorough checks on all equipment designated for shipment
- Wrap, weigh, and process pallets or cases, preparing them for loading according to each ship's requirements
- Ensure all items meet quality standards before scheduled dispatch
- Process equipment for loading based on daily schedules with accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain regular communication with IT Officer and Project Manager regarding loading operations
- Oversee reception of incoming offloads and direct to designated bins or pallets for outgoing shipment
- Respond promptly to emails from ships and project managers, resolving issues efficiently
- Close pending or open cases related to equipment and supplies, ensuring resolution or escalation
- Monitor and report low inventory items to maintain operational stock levels
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel and loaders to streamline operations
- Acquire proficiency in warehouse management system used by Transcor
- Manage vendor relationships ensuring timely and accurate delivery of supplies and equipment
