Operating within the IT services sector, NexusTek offers expert technical support and strategic IT management to enhance the technological capabilities of its clients, including hotels and hospitality venues, ensuring they maintain the highest levels of uptime and efficiency.
This part-time position based in Oklahoma City, OK, requires a dedicated onsite presence at client hotel locations where you will serve as the hotel IT engineer. The dress code for the position is business casual, reflecting the professional environment in which you will operate.
As the hotel IT engineer for NexusTek, you play a crucial role acting as the onsite representative for IT services, managing the applications, systems, and infrastructure that the company architects, deploys, and supports. You will engage closely with hotel management to address technical issues, oversee ongoing projects, and provide budgetary insight. Your responsibilities include technical consultations, decision-making on software and hardware requirements, and independently resolving complex IT challenges. From configuring wireless networks, routers, switches, and firewalls to managing cloud-based solutions and virtual environments using Microsoft and VMware technologies, your role is central to maintaining robust IT operations.
Your advanced working knowledge encompasses Microsoft operations systems, server and workstation hardware, peripheral devices such as printers and scanners, as well as cloud and virtualization technologies. You are expected to proficiently handle Microsoft 365 and Entra administration, manage local Active Directory components, and troubleshoot specialized hotel systems including PMS, POS, and key management systems. This knowledge ensures the seamless integration and performance of critical hotel applications and infrastructure components.
The position also involves creating and maintaining up-to-date technical site documentation, performing system restorations from backups, and supporting Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems in coordination with hotel engineering staff. Your role is highly dynamic and requires excellent communication skills to interact with multiple stakeholders, delivering exceptional customer service across the hotel portfolio. This position offers a semi-monthly pay structure with compensation varying by experience and qualifications, emphasizing competitive remuneration for candidates with exceptional skills or specialized knowledge.
Candidates will undergo a structured interview process including application submission, completion of a Culture Index survey, recruiter screening, and thorough interviews with the hiring manager. NexusTek is dedicated to equal employment opportunity and adheres strictly to compliance and ethical recruitment practices. This opportunity is a blend of technical expertise, customer service excellence, and onsite presence, perfect for candidates seeking a varied and impactful part-time role within a supportive company known for quality IT service delivery.
