Positioned at the Island Lodge on Salmon Lake, the Island Butler is the face of this iconic wilderness experience and holds responsibility for creating intimate and memorable engagements with guests. This role blends a variety of dynamic responsibilities such as greeting guests, managing food and beverage service, bartending, coordinating with multiple resort departments, and ensuring the smooth operation of the Island Lodge’s facilities. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives on multitasking, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional guest service with a warm and adventurous spirit.

They will be managing guest interactions from arrival through departure, providing tours, serving meals, assisting with meal prep and cleanup, managing inventory, and maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of guest areas. Importantly, this position requires confidence, clear communication skills, physical stamina, and the willingness to take on diverse tasks—from building campfires and facilitating s’mores to using technology like Microsoft Teams to coordinate service requests. Employees at Paws Up are known for their self-motivation and team-oriented mindset, contributing to a workplace culture that values hard work, genuine guest connections, and a shared passion for the outdoors.

Those who flourish in this role embrace the unpredictability of wilderness resort life and find joy in crafting once-in-a-lifetime guest experiences while forming lasting bonds with their teammates.

This position is not suited for individuals looking for a low-effort seasonal job or those averse to physical labor and outdoor activity.
