Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1-3 years previous experience as a Cook III
- Basic knowledge and experience in general cooking styles and techniques
- Solid knife and culinary skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
- Ability to walk, stand, or sit for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and move product up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in varying temperature, noise, and lighting conditions
- Ability to perform fine finger manipulation
- Alcohol awareness certification required for certain outlets
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1-3 years previous experience as a Cook III, preferably in a high-volume kitchen
- Basic knowledge and experience in general cooking styles, techniques, and understanding of how to read and execute recipes
- Solid knife and culinary skills
- Alcohol awareness certification required for certain outlets
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
Job Duties
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and a variety of other kitchen equipment
- Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
- Know and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of all food products and supplies at line stations to assure a smooth service period
- Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection ovens, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment
- Prepare items for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating
- Follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
