The Industrial Tank Cleaner - Supervisor plays a crucial role within HPC-Industrial by leading and supporting tank cleaning operations at various customer sites. This position requires a hands-on supervisor who ensures all industrial tank cleaning tasks adhere strictly to site-specific safety guidelines and protocols. The supervisor acts as the key liaison between HPC-Industrial and its clients, maintaining robust working relationships to meet and exceed customer expectations. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years job related experience
- Valid TWIC required or ability to obtain TWIC
- Ability to work in an industrial setting such as refinery, petrochemical, utilities, or pulp and paper mills
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and inside confined spaces with full HazMat apparel including breathing air lines or respirators
Job Qualifications
- Refinery tank cleaning experience preferred
- Offshore, drilling, chemical handling, or military experience acceptable
- Ability to work in an industrial setting such as refinery, petrochemical, utilities, or pulp and paper mills
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and inside confined spaces with full HazMat apparel including breathing air lines or respirators
Job Duties
- Ensures health and safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times
- Transporting, carrying, and connecting hoses, fittings, pumps, and other site related equipment
- Monitoring and operation of special equipment such as pumps, breathing air equipment, and tools to enable the cleaning of tanks
- Operate equipment according to procedures and safe practices
- Ability to follow orders from site supervisory personnel
- Donning and doffing HazMat PPE and entering confined spaces to aid in the cleaning of large storage tanks
- Hands on operation of centrifuge performance to meet customer expectations
- May be required to supervise shift work and schedule jobs and crews
- Inspects equipment, work area, and crew prior to starting any job
- Completes all appropriate paperwork including service receipts and submits them to management
- Additional duties as assigned
