The position available is within the Food and Beverage department at Hotel Celare. It requires flexibility in working hours, including weekends, holidays, and variable shifts, reflecting the dynamic nature of hospitality operations. The role involves ensuring compliance and completion of daily operational procedures and maintaining high standards for food and beverage safety and quality aligned with hotel, Shaner, and franchise requirements. Communication with the General Manager, department managers, supervisors, and staff is crucial, emphasizing teamwork and coordination. Key responsibilities include courteous guest interactions, assisting with seating and reservations, preparing the restaurant environment, and monitoring guest needs throughout their experience. Job Requirements

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
  • Minimum one year of experience in the restaurant / food and beverage field
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • ServSafe and/or food safety training
  • Alcohol awareness training such as TIPS

  • High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred
  • ServSafe and/or food safety training
  • Alcohol awareness training such as TIPS
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
  • Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele

Job Duties

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
  • Ensures compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department
  • Maintains food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications
  • Ensures communication with General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors and Staff
  • Courteously greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating, ensuring hotel's standards of service
  • Assist in preparing the restaurant for service and always maintaining the cleanliness of the room
  • Take, record, and confirm reservations as specified in the department's standards
  • Assist in monitoring the guests' needs and all phases of the operation
  • Other duties as assigned
