Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer license in Iowa
- 10+ years of highway and/or roadway design experience with increasing responsibility
- Experience with Iowa DOT and local clients
- Demonstrated supervisor and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication skills including proposal writing and public speaking
- Ability to work in dynamic, in-person and remote environments
- Leadership drive and strong engineering judgment
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Hire and lead a team of engineers and designers for roadway design and plan preparation
- Deliver projects according to plan, budget, program, and quality objectives
- Lead, assign, and review work of project delivery team and provide technical guidance
- Check work progress and identify scope changes and additional services
- Mentor and develop staff
- Develop and oversee budgets and schedules
- Lead proposal strategies and participate in the interview process
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients
- Stay engaged in the Iowa transportation community through professional organization involvement
