Job Description
MultiCare is a leading healthcare organization deeply rooted in the Pacific Northwest community, with a legacy of over 140 years of providing compassionate, patient-centered care. As a community-focused healthcare provider, MultiCare is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals and families through a comprehensive network of clinics, hospitals, and specialty services. The organization prides itself on fostering a culture of respect, integrity, kindness, and collaboration, ensuring that every team member, patient, and community member feels valued and supported. MultiCare’s mission is to deliver exceptional care while cultivating an inclusive environment where employees can grow professionally and personally.
The role of Medical Receptionist at MultiCare is a vital position serving as the first in-person point of contact for patients at the clinic. This role is essential in delivering seamless administrative support that ensures an excellent patient experience from arrival through service completion. The Medical Receptionist performs a variety of front office functions such as greeting patients warmly, answering and directing phone calls, assisting patients and their families, scheduling appointments, handling patient registration, managing charge entry, posting payments, and conducting daily cash reconciliation and batch balancing. This intermediate-level position requires an individual who demonstrates excellent customer service skills, discretion, professionalism, and good judgment. Effective communication, including a pleasant and articulate phone voice, is crucial as the receptionist interacts with diverse internal and external stakeholders — including patients, families, healthcare providers, and the general public.
MultiCare offers a supportive work environment with an emphasis on work-life balance. Working as a Medical Receptionist you will benefit from competitive compensation with a pay range typically between $19.51 and $28.08 per hour, influenced by experience, skills, certification, and educational background. External applicants with at least one year of experience who commit to a two-year tenure can qualify for a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Additionally, you will be joining a respected health system that provides generous paid time off, comprehensive medical and dental benefits, retirement plans, tuition assistance, and various programs supporting employee well-being including Code Lavender and Employee Assistance Programs. MultiCare also invests in career development through award-winning residencies and fellowships, fostering continuous learning and growth.
This full-time daytime position operates during standard clinic hours and supports MultiCare’s commitment to delivering patient-centered care and building strong community connections. Employees at MultiCare not only find a job but also join a mission-driven team where meaningful work is the foundation of every day. If you are someone who values compassion, integrity, and collaboration and desires to make a positive impact in a community-oriented healthcare setting, this role is an excellent opportunity. With a culture of belonging and opportunities for professional advancement, MultiCare invites you to bring your unique talents and values and grow your career in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
