In this exciting role based in Rio Rancho, NM, you will report to the site services supervisor and collaborate closely with Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals. The position is designed for someone passionate about supporting scientific progress by performing specialized lab work and mission-based research protocols. Your efforts will help reduce time spent on operational tasks, allowing researchers to focus more on their scientific endeavors. The role is hourly, offering a competitive rate of $17.60 per hour, with shifts scheduled from 6 am to 6 pm Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday.
As a key member of the team, you will handle vital responsibilities including receiving shipments, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth transportation and stocking of lab consumables throughout the facility. Precision and attention to detail are essential as you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records with proprietary software and supporting regular inventory audits. Effective communication with internal teams and customers will be crucial in addressing inventory availability and escalation issues. The role demands physical stamina and mobility as you will be frequently standing, walking, bending, and maneuvering carts loaded with supplies.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year work experience in related role
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Ability to spend majority of day standing and walking
- Ability to bend stoop squat reach above shoulder height crouch kneel balance and push/pull
- Maintain professional safe clean work environment
- Effective communication skills
- Experience working in GMP facility desired
- Experience with Microsoft Teams preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ years of prior work experience
- Experience in material handling or clean-room environment is a plus
- Microsoft Teams experience preferred
- Previous experience working in a GMP facility is desired
- Able to effectively communicate with internal and external teams
- Ability to maintain a professional safe clean work environment
- Comfortable working in physically demanding role including standing walking bending stooping squatting reaching above shoulder height crouching kneeling balancing and pushing/pulling wheeled carts
Job Duties
- Receiving of products at customer dock or other shipping/receiving point including unpacking and de-trashing of materials if necessary
- Recording receipts of inventory against packing slips including following up on any noted discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate inventory levels both within Avantor storerooms and at customer areas where back-stock of consumables is stored
- Transportation of consumables throughout the customer facility on wheeled carts and stocking of POU locations based on required inventory
- Accurate transacting of stocking quantities by item and location utilizing a scanner and proprietary software and downloading of transactions into system as required to verify records capture and order generation
- Monitor and engage in regular POU audits for proper signage including items min/max levels contact information and maintain a record of changes to items and quantities
- Serve as point person for customer communications of any inventory availability issues or concerns as well as a defined escalation path
- Support special projects such as tours and other non-standard activities onsite
- Meet all scheduling requirements of the role including performing any other duties/tasks assigned
