Job Description

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is a renowned leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products serving various specific industry segments. Eaton is committed to delivering high-quality and reliable products essential for power management and distribution solutions globally. The company's dedication to innovation and operational excellence has positioned it as a trusted partner in the energy sector.

The Inventory Specialist - 2nd Shift role is a full-time position with a 40-hour work week and potential overtime, working hours from 1:45 pm to 10:15 pm. The role offers competitive compensation at an hourly rate of $27.00 plus a $1.00 per hour shift premium. Employees in this role benefit from full-time advantages including a comprehensive benefits package and a 401k retirement plan, supporting their long-term financial and health security. Initial training for this position occurs on the 1st shift for a minimum of four weeks to ensure a smooth transition and thorough familiarization with company processes.

As an Inventory Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the management of inventory operations to ensure on-time delivery of quality products, aligning with Eaton's broader operational goals. Your responsibilities will include root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies, locating lost inventory items, performing cycle counts, and using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel to maintain accurate inventory records. You will work with minimal supervision, demonstrating autonomy and strong problem-solving skills. Collaboration is vital as you coordinate with team leads, inventory workers, and material handlers to resolve various inventory issues efficiently. Moreover, you will be cross-functionally engaged with multiple plants, contributing to a seamless inventory management process across facilities.

This role also requires hands-on skills such as operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks when needed, ensuring safe and efficient material handling. Other miscellaneous duties will be assigned, further supporting the inventory team’s objectives. Working in this position requires a balance of technical know-how, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, making it a dynamic and engaging role within Eaton’s supply chain structure.

The role's physical demands include the ability to sit, stand, and walk regularly, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and perform movements such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, reaching, pushing, and pulling. This broad range of physical activity underscores the integral nature of this role in the warehouse environment. Eaton fosters a culture of inclusion and equal opportunity, welcoming diverse candidates and supporting career growth in a dynamic and respectful workplace environment.
