Job Description
The Spine & Pain Center is a reputable medical establishment specializing in outpatient interventional pain management. Located primarily in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with satellite clinics in Muskogee and Bartlesville, the center is dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based pain management treatments. It operates through a multidisciplinary team, including experienced physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff, fostering an environment that prioritizes patient-centered care and physician autonomy. The center is committed to providing procedural-focused treatment without the added demands of hospital call or inpatient rounding, allowing physicians to concentrate fully on their clinical expertise and patient outcomes. This supportive clinical environment is enhanced by an on-site ambulatory surgery center (ASC) equipped for a variety of spine-related procedures, making it an ideal workplace for both new fellows and experienced pain medicine physicians seeking a focused and balanced professional life.
The available role is for an Interventional Pain Physician, a full-time position based primarily in Tulsa with scheduled travel to the center's satellite clinics in Muskogee and Bartlesville. The position offers a competitive base salary with productivity and procedure-based incentives, alongside a sign-on bonus. The working schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM, with no night shifts, enabling a healthy work-life balance. Physicians in this role will perform a variety of fluoroscopy-guided spine injections and other interventional pain procedures such as epidural steroid injections, facet joint and medial branch blocks, and radiofrequency ablation. Treatment plans are individualized and developed in collaboration with colleagues to ensure the best patient outcomes. Ideal candidates are board certified or board eligible in pain medicine or related specialties, with fellowship training and hands-on procedural experience preferred. Additionally, candidates must have an active or eligible medical license and DEA registration for Oklahoma, highlighting the center's commitment to maintaining high clinical standards while fostering a collaborative, patient-centered approach. This opportunity is especially attractive for those seeking to leave behind administrative burdens and hospital-based call responsibilities to focus purely on procedural outpatient care in a well-established and supportive clinical setting. Tulsa itself is an appealing location with a low cost of living, vibrant cultural scene, excellent educational opportunities, and a tight-knit medical community, making it a favorable environment for professional growth and personal quality of life.
