Job Description
Fisher Investments International is a well-established financial services firm specializing in serving high-net-worth clients, particularly focusing on clientele in the United Kingdom. Founded in 2009, Fisher Investments has developed a unique and specialized approach dedicated to providing personalized investment strategies and exceptional service to private clients. The firm prides itself on its structure that distinctly separates sales functions from client service roles, allowing employees to focus deeply on their specific responsibilities without the common pressures and distractions of multi-tasking seen in many financial advisor roles. This employment opportunity is based in Camas, Washington, and involves working onsite to manage and nurture relationships with discerning UK clients. Fisher Investments is proud to maintain a fee-only fiduciary model, ensuring that compensation aligns strictly with the clients' best interests rather than commission incentives, underscoring the company's commitment to ethical standards and transparency.
The role of the International Investment Counselor is integral to the firm's client service model and represents a remarkable career opportunity for finance professionals looking to leverage their expertise in a supportive and client-centered environment. In this position, you will act as the primary liaison and trusted advisor to a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals residing in the UK, working closely with an internal team of portfolio decision-makers, research analysts, client service associates, and a seasoned sales force. The company offers a comprehensive and unique training program aimed at enhancing your understanding of financial markets and the firm’s distinctive top-down portfolio management strategy, enriching your professional development and investment acumen.
As an International Investment Counselor, you will focus entirely on client engagement without the need for prospecting new clients, as the robust sales team gradually builds and supports your client roster. This opportunity provides a balanced work dynamic where client service and investment counseling are the primary functions, enabling you to concentrate on delivering personalized financial insights and ongoing portfolio reviews. You will execute regular, proactive contacts with clients to ensure their investments align with long-term financial goals, educate them on relevant market events, and maintain compliance with UK regulatory practices. Reporting directly to a group manager experienced in this role, you will benefit from continuous mentorship and personalized career growth tailored to your strengths and goals.
This role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $80,000 to $135,000 annually, depending on experience, with eligibility for discretionary bonuses based on both firm and individual performance. Fisher Investments values creating an inclusive culture recognized by Great Place to Work certification and invests significantly in its people, offering exceptional benefits including paid medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) match, generous paid time off, and extensive family support programs. The company’s commitment to a positive workplace and employee well-being makes it an ideal place for investment professionals dedicated to making a meaningful difference in wealth management for an international clientele.
