Job Description

KASTELLUM Group, LLC is a professional services provider partnering with federal agencies to deliver critical support across various domains including defense, intelligence, and homeland security. Known for its commitment to excellence and security clearance-based roles, KASTELLUM offers opportunities for career growth within federal government projects. The company is located in Tampa, Florida, a strategic hub for defense and military-related activities.

The International Engagement Support Subject Matter Expert (SME) role at KASTELLUM involves providing dedicated support within the J3-I Support Cell. This position is pivotal in the planning, coordination, and execution of numerous bi-lateral and multi-lateral international engagements, including high-level multinational conferences and executive-level events hosted at USSOCOM headquarters. The SME liaises with various commands, offices, and international personnel to ensure seamless event execution and effective communication across international strategic partners.

The candidate will be deeply involved in drafting, reviewing, and staffing official correspondence and documents, alongside developing detailed itineraries to facilitate these international gatherings. They will coordinate with partner nation (PN) personnel, ensuring all executive correspondence is accurate and error-free. The role also entails capturing event notes, preparing detailed read-outs, and managing follow-up actions to support continuous engagement and diplomatic relations.

Additionally, the SME maintains and updates crucial information tools such as calendars, engagement trackers, and visit logs to monitor ongoing international activities within the command structure. A key responsibility includes managing a directory of international Special Operations Forces (SOF) key leaders to enable quick and precise information exchange across the USSOCOM and allied enterprises.

The role also extends to administrative support for assigned international personnel, including in-processing, onboarding, efficiency reporting, and facilitating awards and departure ceremonies. The SME must manage security procedures such as close-out and escort duties within the division, ensuring operational security and compliance.

Candidates are expected to hold a Bachelor’s degree in international relations, communications, or related social sciences and possess significant experience in producing high-level written products for senior leaders. A minimum of one year of multinational environment experience is required, which may be military, governmental, academic, or business-related. Proficiency in a Romance or European language and experience with social media analytic tools and executive event planning are desired. The role requires a current Secret clearance and eligibility for SECRET access, reflecting the sensitive nature of the work.
