Job Description
A well-established community hospital located in the beautiful San Bernardino County, California, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Internal Medicine physician to join their outpatient care team. This hospital has a strong commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services to the local population, focusing on compassionate and patient-centered care. Situated in the High Desert area, this hospital combines the benefits of a family-friendly environment with access to modern medical practices, making it an excellent workplace for physicians dedicated to making a difference in their patients' lives.
The position offered is a full-time outpatient role with a Monday through Friday schedule, emphasizing a great work-life balance with no required on-call duties. This arrangement is ideal for physicians seeking to maintain high professional standards while enjoying personal time and family life. The role promises a quick ramp-up period, allowing the physician to integrate smoothly into the team and start delivering effective care expeditiously.
Compensation for this role is highly competitive and includes a robust financial package designed to attract top talent. Physicians will benefit from bonus incentives that reward their performance and commitment. There is also relocation assistance available to ease the transition for those moving to this scenic part of California. Additional financial support includes a commencement bonus and medical education debt assistance, which helps alleviate the financial burdens often associated with medical training.
The hospital also supports ongoing professional development, offering an annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance so that the physician can stay current with the latest medical knowledge and skills. Such support reinforces the hospital’s dedication to lifelong learning and quality patient care.
Barstow and surrounding High Desert communities, including Hesperia, Victorville, and Apple Valley, offer a family-oriented lifestyle absent of the congestion and exorbitant housing costs typical of larger metropolitan areas. Residents enjoy the advantages of sunny California beaches approximately an hour and a half away, the Big Bear Ski Resort about an hour’s drive, and the unique landscapes of the Mojave Desert right at their doorstep. This location provides an exceptional balance of outdoor recreational activities and accessible urban amenities.
This opportunity is perfect for physicians who desire a supportive community hospital atmosphere with a schedule conducive to a balanced life, competitive compensation, and the chance to build a rewarding outpatient internal medicine practice in a thriving and welcoming region.
