The Utility Porter role at Graton Resort & Casino is a vital position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of all indoor and outdoor public areas, building entries, and parking lots in alignment with the resort's luxury standards. This role not only ensures the physical cleanliness of the property but also contributes significantly to the overall guest experience by creating an inviting, pristine, and hygienic environment. Utility Porters perform a variety of cleaning tasks that include deep cleaning protocols for floors, windows, walls, ceilings, and furnishings, as well as managing outdoor areas through power washing and trash removal. The role demands proficiency in operating cleaning tools and heavy equipment necessary for upkeep and maintenance of the property’s cleanliness. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in janitorial or hospitality cleaning preferred
  • Ability to follow directions and company policies
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor tasks
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to operate cleaning machinery and equipment
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in hospitality or janitorial cleaning preferred
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and machinery
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of safety and sanitation protocols
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks

Job Duties

  • Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values
  • Performs responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures
  • Perform outdoor deep cleaning tasks including power washing, sweeping, and picking up trash
  • Perform deep cleaning protocols for high dusting including ceiling fixtures, ceiling ledges, and fans
  • Perform deep cleaning protocols for all flooring to include stain extraction, burnishing, and waxing
  • Perform deep cleaning protocols for property interior and exterior windows
  • Operates tools and heavy equipment as trained to maintain cleanliness of property walkways, parking lots, structures, windows, furniture, carpets, fixtures and walls
  • Maintain cleanliness of all guest and team member common areas throughout property
  • Clean up biohazard spills and any contaminated areas per department policies and protocols
  • Pick up and remove trash and broken glass from all guest and team member common areas throughout the property
