We are currently seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our Food Services Department. This position involves performing a variety of duties related to food preparation, meal service, and maintaining cleanliness within the kitchen and patient areas. The role will typically include preparing and stocking cafeteria meal service lines, salad bars, patient tray lines, and patient kitchens. Employees will serve food directly to patients, staff, and the public, ensuring proper portion control and sanitation practices are followed. Responsibilities also include delivering meal trays to guest service representatives on patient units, assisting with tray assembly, disassembling trays, and cleaning food trucks. Additional tasks involve service ware washing and pot washing, which can be done manually or by using dishwashing machines, wrapping silverware, and replenishing patient floor stock as assigned.
This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of food service associated with the health system and requires attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of healthcare and food service professionals.
