The college's campus is a vibrant environment where students, faculty, and staff collaborate to advance learning in an atmosphere that encourages intercultural understanding and respect. Wheaton College is dedicated to fostering an inclusive community where diversity is celebrated as a vital strength and intercultural engagement is actively promoted to enrich the educational experience and prepare students for a global society.

The Intercultural Engagement Office at Wheaton College plays a pivotal role in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion across the campus. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across diverse groups. The coordinator also plays a role in responding to bias incident reports, supporting diversity strategic plans, and maintaining various communication platforms such as social media and the college’s diversity webpage. This job offers a salary range of $25 to $27 per hour, reflecting its full-time nature and level of responsibility.

In addition to coordinating programs, the coordinator manages financial transactions, vendor contracts, and budgeting tasks which are essential to the smooth operation of the office. Serving as the first point of contact for both campus and off-campus visitors, the Program Coordinator helps foster a hospitable and inclusive office environment. This position is dynamic and may involve supporting special projects as assigned by the CIEO. Wheaton College deeply values candidates who affirm the college's Statement of Faith and Christ-Centered Diversity Commitment, ensuring alignment in faith and values alongside professional qualifications.

Overall, the Intercultural Engagement Program Coordinator role at Wheaton College offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the college’s mission by enhancing intercultural understanding and diversity advocacy.
