Job Description

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is a renowned global technology and professional services company dedicated to delivering innovative technology solutions and mission services across every major agency within the U.S. government, defense, and intelligence community. With a workforce of over 26,000 experts operating in more than 50 countries worldwide, GDIT harnesses the power of cutting-edge technology to deliver immediate value, specializing in key areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and software development. The organization has a firm commitment to supporting national security and government missions through the deployment of advanced technology and professional expertise.

GDIT’s CIO Infrastructure Services (CIS) division is expanding its team to further strengthen mission continuity and drive innovation. At the heart of this division is the Integrated Master Scheduler role, a pivotal position that plays a crucial part in ensuring the seamless execution and transition of national defense IT operations. This full-time, onsite role demands a skilled professional who can expertly build and manage complex schedules that align with engineering, operations, and technical refresh milestones to support program goals and maintain uninterrupted mission readiness.

As an Integrated Master Scheduler at GDIT, you will own the responsibility for developing and maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) within the Knowledge Management portal, ensuring it meets all contractual and program specifications. Your role involves performing critical path analyses, schedule health checks, and risk assessments to synchronize key activities and reduce program risks. Collaboration with program management and technical delivery teams ensures all phases of mission execution are aligned, allowing for accurate tracking of progress and timely recommendations for corrective action when necessary.

Your work will be instrumental in supporting transition activities by managing workflows between legacy and new contracts, providing transparency into resource allocation, task sequencing, and readiness for transition milestones. This role requires excellent communication skills to convey schedule impacts, dependencies, and forecasts to leadership, enabling informed decision-making and mission continuity.

Ideal candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or possess over 10 years of relevant IT experience if not holding a degree. A mandatory active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph is required, along with a minimum of three years’ experience in schedule development within government or engineering environments. Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, and Planner, as well as knowledge of Service Central, will support your responsibilities in this role. U.S. citizenship and the ability to work onsite are essential requirements.

The salary range for this position generally falls between $96,569 and $130,651, with exact compensation based on experience, geographic location, and contractual obligations. In addition to competitive pay, GDIT offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and wellness programs. The company prioritizes its people, fostering a military-friendly, innovative workplace culture with robust career growth opportunities supported by AI-powered tools and internal mobility teams.

Joining GDIT as an Integrated Master Scheduler means becoming part of a mission-driven team dedicated to national defense and security. This role provides the chance to make a direct impact by ensuring mission-critical IT operations run smoothly and securely, while also advancing your career in a dynamic and supportive environment. GDIT is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, welcoming protected veterans and individuals with disabilities to apply and grow within the company.
