For the 2026-2027 academic year, Zen Educate is actively recruiting paraprofessionals and classroom aides to support students with autism and behavioral challenges. This role is integral to the school community, as Instructional Assistants serve as vital collaborators with classroom teachers to provide individualized educational support and promote an inclusive, positive learning environment. Working primarily with small groups or one-on-one settings, Instructional Assistants help implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that are designed to meet each student's unique needs.

The position targets candidates excited to start early, offering a chance to complete onboarding and training well before the academic year starts in August 2026. This early preparation allows new team members to acclimate to their responsibilities and develop essential skills for supporting students, helping ensure a smooth transition when the school doors open. Instructional Assistants play a crucial role in fostering social-emotional skills, self-regulation, and student engagement using positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques. Beyond academic support, these professionals also contribute to students' personal care needs such as toileting, feeding, and dressing, requiring compassion and attentiveness.

Zen Educate offers these positions on a part-time or full-time basis, with a weekly pay rate ranging from $20 to $23 per hour, reflecting experience and qualifications. The work schedule typically spans Monday to Friday between 7:30 am and 3:00/4:30 pm, with no weekend shifts, allowing for a balanced work-life rhythm.
