Job Description

Zen Educate is a dynamic educational staffing company dedicated to making it easier for educators to find rewarding roles that truly align with their skills, experience, and career goals. By partnering closely with schools and districts, Zen Educate creates better educator-school matches, ensuring that teachers and support staff can focus on what they do best - teaching and supporting students. The company promotes fair pay and provides extensive support throughout an educator's journey, helping individuals build meaningful and sustainable careers in the education sector. Zen Educate specializes in connecting paraprofessionals, classroom aides, and teachers with roles that allow them to make a significant impact in classrooms ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade. This approach benefits both schools and educators by emphasizing strong partnerships, job satisfaction, and student success.

Zen Educate is presently hiring Para Educators for the 2026-2027 academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting students with special needs, particularly those with autism and behavioral challenges. The role of a Para Educator, also known as an Instructional Aide, involves working closely with classroom teachers to provide both one-on-one and small group assistance. Para Educators play a critical role in implementing behavior plans and fostering positive, structured learning environments. The position is designed to support special education students in a classroom setting, helping to reinforce learning, assist with personal care, and contribute to overall classroom management. This is a full-time or part-time role with competitive pay ranging from $19 to $21 per hour, paid weekly. Work schedules are typically Monday through Friday, within hours from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 or 4:30 p.m., with no weekend work, making it suitable for those seeking a balanced work-life schedule.

Candidates who join early can complete onboarding before the busy fall season, giving them a head start to build relationships with staff and students and become fully prepared for the school year start. Training opportunities such as CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) are desirable but not mandatory. The role does require physical stamina, including being comfortable standing and moving around during the school day, and the ability to safely lift and assist students. Zen Educate emphasizes professional proficiency in English and work authorization in the U.S. as prerequisites. Benefits include weekly pay, paid sick leave, and access to a 401K plan, subject to eligibility. Candidates interested in making a positive impact, developing their educational careers, and supporting the unique needs of special education students are encouraged to apply early through Zen Educate's recruitment process.
