This specific opening is for a Regular Skilled Labor position within the Institutional Services team supporting the Nutritional Production Team in the Office of Patient Services (OPS). The role of Institutional Services Assistant is critical for maintaining cleanliness and sanitary conditions in food preparation and dining areas. Responsibilities include washing dishes, cleaning kitchen spaces and equipment, managing utensils, and waste disposal duties with adherence to safety and hygiene standards. The position requires frequent physical activity and the ability to exert a moderate level of physical effort to carry out all assigned tasks. Job Duties
- Washes dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using a dishwasher or manually then places the equipment in designated storage areas
- Maintains kitchen work areas, floors, equipment, or utensils
- Uses and stores chemical and cleaning supplies
- Sorts and removes trash, placing it in designated pickup areas and cleans/lines garbage containers
- May perform other duties as assigned
