Job Description
BMW Of North America LLC is a renowned automotive leader known for its commitment to innovation, quality, and superior customer service. As a premium car manufacturer, BMW has established itself globally by blending cutting-edge technology with luxury and performance. The company operates various facilities across the United States, including production and distribution centers, to support its extensive network and ensure timely delivery of vehicles and services to customers. At BMW Of North America LLC, the focus remains on fostering a culture grounded in Responsibility, Appreciation, Transparency, Trust, and Openness. These core values not only shape the way the company conducts business but also enhance the working environment, making it an employer of choice for those passionate about the automotive industry and personal growth. The company emphasizes equal opportunity employment, promoting workplace diversity and inclusion irrespective of age, race, gender, religion, or other protected characteristics.
This position is based in Oxnard, California, within the Aftersales Distribution field, and requires full-time attendance at the facility. The hourly pay range for this role is between $20.00 and $32.12, with the final salary determined by education, skills, experience, and location of the selected candidate.
The available role involves hands-on responsibilities in vehicle preparation and quality control, vital to sustaining BMW's reputation for excellence. The successful candidate will play an integral role in vehicle inspections, performing thorough quality audits, and installing accessories along with other minor preparation tasks. Additionally, this role supports various aspects of production, including vehicle remedy actions focused on basic or light campaigns and A-Check-in processes for Vehicle Distribution Center (VDC) transfer vehicles.
Flexibility is a key aspect, as the role requires rotating duties across the facility, encompassing feeding the car wash, valet/looping, scanning, battery checks, and other essential utility roles. The position also demands active participation in executing daily 6S methodology in the work area, supporting inventory audits, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and special events. Facility maintenance and parts cycle counts are further duties that uphold operational integrity and efficiency.
The work environment is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift and carry weights of up to 50 pounds, coupled with activities such as driving, pulling, kneeling, reaching, standing, twisting, walking, climbing, pushing, squatting, and hearing while exposed to varying temperatures and high noise levels. Candidates are expected to bring a proactive attitude and an eagerness to learn, as internal BMW training certificates for roles at the VDC must be acquired after starting.
In return, BMW offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plans with company matches, an employee vehicle program, bonus eligibility, paid parental leave, generous paid time off, company-paid holidays, and voluntary benefits tailored to individual needs. This combination of competitive compensation, extensive benefits, and a supportive culture makes this an exceptional opportunity for motivated individuals to contribute meaningfully while advancing their automotive careers at BMW Of North America LLC.
