Job Description

Insomniac is a global leader in music event production, renowned for creating immersive and innovative dance music festivals that captivate audiences with cutting-edge lighting, pyrotechnics, sound design, large-scale art installations, theatrical performances, and next-generation special effects. Established in 1993 by Pasquale Rotella and headquartered in Los Angeles, Insomniac has grown to produce over 10,000 concerts, club nights, and festivals annually, drawing nearly seven million attendees worldwide. Among its most celebrated events is the Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, the world's largest dance music festival, attracting more than 525,000 fans over three days. With a presence spanning 13 countries and five continents, the company prioritizes delivering an exceptional experience to its headliners and fans alike, ensuring every event is memorable and engaging.

The role of Production Assistant at Insomniac presents a unique opportunity for individuals who not only have a passion for dance music and live events but also possess a proactive and self-motivated approach to festival operations and production. Reporting directly to the Back of House Manager, this position is integral to supporting the production activities that happen behind the scenes, ensuring everything runs smoothly from planning through execution. The Production Assistant will collaborate with various departments to organize advance documents, liaise with vendors, communicate production needs efficiently, and assist in the credentialing and coordination processes related to the executive producer branch. This position is a hands-on role, requiring the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, often dynamic environment. Candidates must be prepared to work on-site and engage actively in a physically demanding atmosphere, accommodating the typical loud, busy, and changing climate conditions of live events. The compensation for this role ranges from $16.50 to $20.00 per hour, depending on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and work location, with an estimated pay rate of $16.90 per hour for California-based applicants. Insomniac is committed to equal employment opportunities and encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply, offering reasonable accommodations for disabilities and religious practices, ensuring an inclusive and supportive workplace for all.

This is an excellent entry to mid-level role for anyone passionate about event production who seeks to grow their expertise in one of the most dynamic fields in entertainment. The Production Assistant will gain firsthand experience working alongside seasoned professionals in event planning, vendor coordination, and operational logistics within the context of some of the most high-profile music festivals in the world.
