The role of Production Runner at Insomniac is integral to supporting the Back of House Department, ensuring smooth, efficient operations throughout show days that are often long and demanding. This position is for proactive, highly motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced live event environments and possess a passion for dance music culture. The Production Runner will work closely with the Back of House Manager and is responsible for providing transportation, running essential errands, coordinating logistics such as department meals and equipment rentals, and assisting production staff with varied duties. Given the dynamic nature of live events, responsibilities also include maintaining cash and receipts for expense reconciliation, supporting administrative tasks, and ensuring confidentiality in all operations.This role requires a dependable individual able to handle multiple assignments, work independently or with a team, and deliver under potentially challenging conditions such as loud environments and variable weather. The Production Runner contributes to the overall success of some of the most celebrated and immersive music festivals worldwide, gaining valuable experience in the live entertainment industry. This is a non-remote position expected to be onsite, with a hiring salary range of $16.00 to $20.00 per hour, reflecting factors such as qualifications, skills, experience, and location. Job Requirements

  • 21 years of age or older
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and fully insured
  • Safe driving habits a must
  • Operational cell phone
  • Friendly and personable works well with others but also able to work independently
  • Punctual reliable responsible professional and courteous
  • Able to work a long day typical show day runs anywhere to 10 to 18 hours
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provide transportation for various personnel throughout the show day such as hotel and airport pickups and drop offs using either personal car or company-provided vehicle
  • Run errands such as department meals laundry grocery shopping package delivery equipment rentals coffee runs etc
  • Coordinate large take-out orders with local restaurants purchasing retrieving and distributing to touring personnel
  • Coordinate large shopping lists from local grocery stores deliver to the venue
  • Assist production staff with general production-related duties
  • Maintain cash and receipts for expense reimbursement and reconciliation
  • Provide local area information to touring staff
