Job Description

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is a leading U.S. supplier of industrial, medical, and specialty gases, as well as hardgoods and related products. It is recognized as one of the largest U.S. suppliers of safety products and a leading supplier of ammonia products and process chemicals. Airgas operates with a workforce of approximately 18,000 associates, fostering a culture that emphasizes safety, customer success, sustainability, and innovation. As a subsidiary of Air Liquide—a global leader in gases, technologies, and services for industry and healthcare—Airgas benefits from the resources and expertise of a company present in 60 countries with around 66,500 employees, serving over 4 million customers and patients worldwide.

Joining Airgas means becoming part of a stimulating environment where every individual matters. The company encourages associates to share ideas, take initiative, and make decisions that contribute to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Employees are supported in their professional growth and career development, with opportunities to expand their skills and reach their potential. Airgas promotes diversity and inclusivity across its workforce, valuing the unique contributions each employee brings to the team. The company also provides a robust benefits package to ensure employees are supported in all aspects of their lives.

The Inside Sales Specialist position at Airgas in Henderson, NV is a vital role designed for a motivated sales professional who will manage and grow a portfolio of existing and prospective customers within their assigned territory. This full-time role offers Monday through Friday daytime hours, with a compensation package that includes base pay plus bonus opportunities. The Inside Sales Specialist will use proactive telephone outreach, account management strategies, and negotiation skills to retain clients, increase gross margin growth, and attract new business. Efficiency in territory management is key, with customer interaction expected to cover approximately 40% of the workday via outbound and inbound calls.

This role requires a commitment to safety and strict adherence to company policies, including those related to IT security, antitrust guidelines, and fraud prevention. The Sales Specialist will utilize Airgas's technology platforms, such as SAP for order processing and Salesforce.com for customer relationship management, to ensure accurate documentation and follow-through. Training and continuous development are emphasized to keep the specialist well-informed about product knowledge, market competition, and sales techniques. Collaboration with sales managers and teammates for coaching and mentoring purposes is also part of the role.

In addition to a supportive work environment, Airgas offers comprehensive family benefits that include medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance. New parents benefit from a 14-week paid childbirth leave. The company also provides future security through a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, tuition assistance, paid holidays, vacation, and sick time—all starting just 30 days after employment begins. This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills, who thrives working both independently and collaboratively within a team, and is comfortable handling occasional travel for business needs. Airgas values diversity and inclusion, ensuring equal opportunity employment and accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
