Job Description

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is a leading supplier in the United States specializing in industrial, medical, and specialty gases, along with hardgoods and related products. It also ranks as one of the largest U.S. suppliers of safety products and a top supplier of ammonia products and process chemicals. With a workforce of 18,000 associates, Airgas fosters a culture grounded in safety, customer success, sustainability, and innovation. This culture empowers employees to contribute ideas, take initiative, and make impactful decisions in their roles. As a subsidiary of Air Liquide, a global leader in gases, technologies, and services for industry and healthcare, Airgas benefits from a presence in 60 countries and serves over 4 million customers and patients worldwide.

Located in Boise, Idaho, Airgas provides a full-time Inside Sales Representative / Production Operator position at a retail shop environment, offering competitive pay and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance. This role is Monday through Friday with no weekend work, and Airgas supplies all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment.

The Inside Sales Representative / Production Operator role at Airgas balances high-energy customer interaction with vital operational responsibilities. Candidates are expected to be customer-oriented professionals who thrive on solving problems and building strong relationships in a dynamic industrial environment. The employee acts as both a trusted guide and an operational contributor: partnering with customers to supply industrial, medical, and specialty gases along with welding equipment and essential supplies.

Key functions include advising customers on selecting the right tools, hardware, and materials needed to accomplish their projects successfully, demonstrating proper equipment use to boost customer confidence, and helping customers pioneer new solutions through superior product guidance. The position requires managing order entry, processing transactions accurately, coordinating deposits, and handling logistics like merchandise transfers between locations to meet customer needs efficiently.

Additionally, the role involves filling high-pressure cylinders for industrial, medical, and mixed gases following strict compression temperature and pressure guidelines. The Production Operator ensures thorough pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests for quality assurance, maintains equipment such as pumping apparatus and pressure gauges, and adheres closely to safety standards and company policies. Clear record-keeping complying with local, state, and federal regulations is essential.

Airgas provides a supportive and inclusive workplace that embraces diversity across its employees, customers, and community stakeholders. The company promotes equal employment opportunities and reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities, committed to fostering an engaging environment that supports both individual potential and collective success.

Employees at Airgas enjoy a comprehensive benefit plan supporting their whole life, including child birth benefits, retirement plans with company match, tuition assistance, paid holidays, vacations, sick leave, and more. The company values the differences each team member brings to enhance overall performance and innovation.

Joining Airgas means being part of a company that not only prioritizes delivering products sustainably and safely but also values every individual's contribution to team success, making it an excellent place to grow a rewarding career.
