Job Description
Our company is a well-established leader in the logistics and shipping industry, dedicated to providing reliable and innovative transportation solutions across a comprehensive network. We pride ourselves on our commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Our broad service offerings are designed to meet the needs of diverse industries, ranging from small businesses to large enterprises. We operate a network of Service Centers that enable us to deliver efficient, timely, and cost-effective shipping services throughout the territory we serve.
As an Inside Sales Account Manager, you will play a critical role within our sales organization by focusing on the shipment and revenue growth of an assigned sales territory. This position mainly involves handling accounts that require minimal face-to-face interaction, relying heavily on phone and email communications to nurture and develop client relationships. You will provide direct support to local Account Managers at the designated Service Centers while collaborating across departments to optimize account management and identify new business opportunities. Leveraging business intelligence tools such as Tableau Dashboards, you will analyze market data to uncover potential growth areas, enabling you to proactively approach existing and prospective customers.
Your responsibilities will include initiating telephone calls to introduce the company’s capabilities, negotiating pricing by gathering competitive intelligence, and managing various reports related to quotes, service opportunities, and customer satisfaction. You will be instrumental in addressing customer concerns, resolving shipment-related issues, and maintaining a strong partnership with internal teams across pricing, claims, national accounts, and revenue accounting. Additionally, you will seek to promote the company’s innovative eShipping Exchange solutions to enhance customer experiences and streamline account operations.
This role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills, coupled with the ability to multitask and work collaboratively within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will be expected to make informed decisions regarding account management while fostering strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike. This position operates during the first shift and is an in-person role, requiring a hands-on approach and presence at the designated work location. We value employees who demonstrate dedication, strategic thinking, and a passion for sales and customer service.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a high school diploma with at least one year of customer service and sales experience, either inside or outside sales. While a Bachelor’s degree is preferred, it is not mandatory. We offer a competitive benefits package that supports your health, financial security, and overall well-being, creating a supportive environment where you can thrive and grow your career within the company.
