The Injection Supervisor role is a pivotal position within the Airlite Plastics team located in Omaha, NE. This position involves overseeing the manufacturing processes of an assigned production area to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The Injection Supervisor is responsible not only for maintaining high production standards but also for ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols. This role requires close monitoring of equipment and assisting with production tasks when necessary. By coordinating closely with team members and other departments, the Injection Supervisor helps to resolve production issues and optimize workflow. A vital aspect of this role includes leadership responsibilities such as addressing minor personnel issues and deferring more complex employee matters to senior leadership. Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree from two-year college or technical school
  • Three years of front-line supervisor experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and manuals in English
  • Ability to speak effectively with company employees and other leaders in English
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work well with others
  • Able to utilize interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and positive
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Display highest ethical standards
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills with ability to operate Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree from two-year college or technical school, three years of successful front-line supervisor experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Passing of the Munsell Hue Color Assessment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and manuals in English
  • Must be able to work well with others, build partnerships and support team members
  • Able to utilize interpersonal and communication skills in daily work
  • Must be self-motivated and positive
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Display highest ethical standards
  • Detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to operate Microsoft Office products

Job Duties

  • Oversee assigned production operations to ensure efficiency, quality and safety standards are met
  • Coordinate and assign tasks to production team members, ensuring optimal labor utilization
  • Ensure new team members are properly trained on operations, safety protocols and company policies
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and adjust as necessary
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production activities and resolve production or quality issues
  • Escalate equipment issues for necessary repairs or processing adjustments to appropriate personnel to minimize downtime
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, downtime and quality issues
  • Prepare and submit reports to production leadership as requested
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication, conflict resolution and team building
  • Identify employees with potential for development and facilitate employee development with leadership support
  • Responsible for reporting food safety problems to management
  • Other duties and audits as assigned
