Job Description
Ember Health is an innovative and growth-oriented healthcare organization dedicated to transforming the landscape of mental health treatment. Specializing in providing IV ketamine therapy for people living with depression, Ember Health operates safe, medically supervised clinics that focus on delivering evidence-based and compassionate care. With a success rate where 85 percent of patients report symptom relief, Ember Health is recognized as a leader and trailblazer in ketamine treatment, setting the gold standard for clinical effectiveness and patient experience. The company values integrity, compassion, and excellence, and it intentionally cultivates a team of highly skilled and mission-driven professionals committed to making a meaningful difference in mental health care. Each team member is empowered to contribute actively to shaping the future of how depression is treated, ensuring that patients receive personalized and empathetic care in a supportive setting. The organizational culture fosters collaboration, innovation, and professional growth, making Ember Health a sought-after workplace for healthcare practitioners passionate about mental health.
The current opportunity is for a full-time Infusion Nurse role within one of Ember Health's clinics located in New York City. This position is central to delivering ketamine infusion treatments with safety and compassion and supporting patients throughout their therapeutic journey. The Infusion Nurse will adhere strictly to established standard operating procedures, ensuring infusions are administered safely, monitoring patient responses, and intervening appropriately when necessary. Beyond the technical administration of intravenous infusions, the nurse will also play a crucial role in providing psychological support to patients through therapeutic communication, helping to maintain their comfort and emotional wellbeing during treatment. Accurate clinical documentation, maintaining an organized clinical workspace, and managing medication preparation and inventory are essential responsibilities that support the smooth operation of the clinic. The nurse will also assist with patient scheduling and coordination of care with provider partners, contributing substantially to a holistic and seamless treatment experience.
This role demands not only clinical expertise in IV placement and cardio-respiratory monitoring but also a warm, empathetic demeanor and outstanding communication skills. Experience or knowledge in mental health, particularly depression, is preferred but not mandatory, underscoring the organization’s commitment to comprehensive and compassionate care. Ember Health offers a supportive professional environment with opportunities for mentorship, professional development, and career growth. The work schedule is predictable and balanced, operating Monday through Friday without overnight, weekend, or on-call hours, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. The compensation package includes a starting base salary of $93,000 annually with regular opportunities for raises, coupled with guaranteed 401(k) employer contributions ranging from 3 to 10 percent of salary. A robust benefits program is included, encompassing healthcare, vision, dental, paid vacation and sick leave, prenatal and family leave, professional development resources, and additional perks to support overall wellbeing. The role may require some travel within the NYC Metro Area to support Ember Health’s network of clinics. This is an excellent opportunity for registered nurses seeking to specialize in cutting-edge mental health treatment and make a significant impact in patients’ lives within a dynamic and mission-driven healthcare organization.
