This Infrastructure Solutions Architect role demands a deep and broad expertise in systems architecture, specifically in environments involving Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server platforms. With over 8 years of experience required in both RHEL and Windows Server, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and implementing scalable, redundant systems that ensure high availability and performance. The position also strongly emphasizes cloud architecture skills, with the candidate expected to be proficient in designing deployments across native and hybrid clouds on major cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

Furthermore, the architect will be responsible for integrating and coordinating system data models, ensuring efficient data sharing, reducing redundancy, and maximizing the utility of the state’s data resources. The role extends into network administration, requiring over 5 years of experience in managing complex network environments. Experience with SQL and Oracle databases is also critical, encompassing the design of redundant and scalable database architectures for both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.

Additionally, this role requires familiarity with application architecture including AppServers such as WebLogic, WebSphere, and JBoss. The candidate should be adept at administering and architecting IIS, Apache Web servers, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF), to support secure and reliable web infrastructure. Security is a cornerstone of this position, with responsibilities including securing network, web applications, and databases.

Programming experience with at least one language among C#, Java, Python, Bash, or PowerShell is also expected, as is practical knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, and Veracode. The architect will also engage in cloud service deployments covering Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS), demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of modern cloud ecosystems.

Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies and tools like Terraform and CloudFormation is essential for automating cloud infrastructure deployments. In addition, the role requires experience architecting container orchestration platforms including Kubernetes (K8s) and OpenShift, which are critical for managing scalable and resilient containerized applications. Experience with Cloudflare is considered an asset, enhancing the architect’s ability to design secure and optimized cloud delivery solutions.
