The position is focused on providing day-to-day operational support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities, which are the backbone of national security operations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining complex operational software configurations and system interfaces, ensuring the seamless operation and security of computer systems crucial to government missions.

The individual in this position will be responsible for maintaining file servers, firewalls, network access, security monitoring systems, and comprehensive system documentation. Troubleshooting and analyzing system anomalies to guarantee optimal equipment performance will be essential duties. The role also involves preparing systems for operational use, supporting operational tests, and meticulously reviewing, preparing, and updating authorization packages. This comprehensive involvement ensures that security accreditation remains current and that any changes potentially impacting authorization are promptly communicated to customers.

Cybersecurity is a fundamental component of the role. The candidate will conduct cybersecurity self-inspections, review technical and cybersecurity aspects of authorization packages, and identify vulnerabilities, implementing effective countermeasures to safeguard systems. Adherence to security policies and practices regarding the operation, maintenance, and disposal of information systems and network appliances is mandatory, ensuring compliance with rigorous government standards.

Additional responsibilities include administering Video-Teleconferencing (VTC) systems, managing external information system client support, and handling account creations, changes, and deletions across multiple authorization boundaries. Troubleshooting activities, hardware and software system configurations, upgrades, system and network patching, government-issued laptop support, media control, accountability activities, and communications security (COMSEC) account and equipment management are integral to the role.

Candidates should bring 2-5 years of related experience, ideally including roles as a system or network administrator, and prior exposure to SAP environments is desirable. A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience (four years) is required, along with the ability to obtain IAT Level I or IAM Level I certification within six months of hire. Candidates must have or be capable of obtaining a TS/SCI clearance with a CI polygraph. This position requires U.S. citizenship and involves 10-25% travel. The salary range is competitive, from $82,195 to $111,205, adjusted based on experience and geographic location.
