Job Description

Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags White Water Atlanta are premier amusement and water parks providing thrilling experiences and exceptional entertainment for families and visitors throughout the region. Known for their exciting rides, attractions, and events, these parks serve millions of guests annually. The parks are committed to ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for every visitor, which requires a robust information systems infrastructure to support various operational and guest-facing technologies.

The Information Systems (IS) Technician role is integral to the parks’ daily technology operations. Technicians are responsible for providing hands-on technical support across a wide range of functions, including audio and video systems, desktop and network support, payment acceptance via point of sale (POS) and e-commerce platforms, printer maintenance, and server management. This position involves both software troubleshooting and hardware servicing, requiring a versatile understanding of IT systems. IS Technicians receive management, training, and scheduling oversight from an IS Full-Time Supervisor and must regularly collaborate with local and corporate management teams to ensure smooth operations.

This role offers a dynamic work environment where technicians rotate between in-park physical support and on-premise desk support, providing a comprehensive exposure to different technology challenges within the parks. Technicians play a crucial part in monitoring, maintaining, and servicing critical systems that directly impact park operations and guest experiences. Responsibilities extend from routine maintenance and troubleshooting to enforcing compliance with industry standards such as PCI, SOX, and HIPPA, ensuring data integrity and security.

In addition to the essential technical functions, IS Technicians document their work meticulously using an incident tracking system, which supports company-wide knowledge sharing and problem resolution. This position provides excellent career-building opportunities through hands-on experience, employee events, and access to other regional attractions. It offers flexible scheduling, promoting work-life balance, and provides compensation based on experience and certifications, with an hourly pay rate ranging from $11.50 to $13.50.

Working as an IS Technician at Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags White Water Atlanta is a chance to grow technical skills in a vibrant, team-oriented atmosphere while contributing to the entertainment industry’s technological backbone. Technicians must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, capable of working independently or collaboratively, and adept at operating under pressure in a fast-paced environment. This role also requires a strong commitment to process improvements and quality service delivery, making it an ideal position for individuals eager to develop their IS expertise in a lively and challenging setting.
