This particular opportunity is for the role of an Information Assurance System Administrator (IASA) based in Leavenworth, KS. This is an onsite, full-time position offering a competitive salary ranging from $61,900 to $141,000 annually, depending on the individual's experience and qualifications. In this role, the IASA will be an integral part of ensuring the security and operational readiness of training programs that underpin Warfighter Exercises (WFXs). The position requires a blend of technical system administration abilities with a deep understanding of cybersecurity practices as applied within Department of Defense (DoD) standards and frameworks. The Information Assurance System Administrator plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of both classified and unclassified information systems, ensuring that the infrastructure supporting Command and Control Information Systems (C2IS) remains secure and compliant at all times.

The role involves performing system and network administration for physical and virtual servers and workstations within data centers. The successful candidate will oversee the Application of Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) programs and ensure timely application of patches, hotfixes, and security updates as mandated by the higher command. Familiarity and hands-on experience working with Army Mission Command Systems (AMCS) and constructive training simulations will be crucial.

Supporting the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process is a key responsibility, requiring intimate knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Best Business Practices (BBPs). The IASA must operate and maintain Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) tools to conduct vulnerability scans and report findings to the designated Information System Owner to promptly address potential security risks.

This position demands a proactive approach to diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues to minimize downtime and ensure seamless mission operations. The incumbent will administer user access controls, manage permissions effectively, and be responsible for implementing robust data backup and recovery strategies to protect mission-critical data.
