The Plant Maintenance Technician is expected to promptly respond to system failures, implement corrective measures, and adjust work procedures to sustain production schedules. This role entails multitasking across various maintenance priorities and requires a flexible schedule that may include nights and weekends to meet operational demands.

Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Two years of relevant experience
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Successfully complete pre-employment screening including drug screen and physical

Job Duties
- Perform repairs in accordance with WM safety and Life Critical Rules and OSHA requirements
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections
- diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment/components including balers, conveyors, hydraulic power packs, eddy currents, electro-magnetic belts, optical sorters, diverters, compressors, trash compactors, motors, glass breakers, wire tie systems, fans, pumps, forklifts, front-end loaders, and building equipment
- Maintain Daily Equipment Inspections backlog
- Establish and adjust work procedures to meet production schedules and advise senior plant maintenance manager if additional work is needed or cannot be completed within standard repair times
- Inspect the quality of third-party repairs and rebuilds
- Recommend measures to improve production, equipment performance, and product quality
- Manage multiple priorities and perform service calls for emergency breakdowns
- Perform duties under limited supervision
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards
- Require a flexible work schedule including nights and weekends as needed
