The Industrial Electrician role at HARIBO of America is a critical position within the maintenance team, reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor - Electrics. This role requires a highly skilled professional responsible for the wiring, assembly, repair, testing, and installation of electrical components in the designated facility area. The position demands expertise in handling various hand and power tools, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and schematics, and complying with all applicable codes and safety regulations. The Industrial Electrician is instrumental in minimizing production downtime, promoting efficient equipment operation, and ensuring adherence to environmental and safety guidelines.
In this role, the Industrial Electrician will collaborate closely with machine operators and support teams to monitor and optimize manufacturing equipment performance. Through a continuous improvement mindset, the incumbent will develop and implement procedures, work instructions, and troubleshooting protocols. In addition, the role involves extensive work with Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), diagnosing root causes of malfunctions, and performing routine and preventive maintenance to maintain equipment efficacy and safety.

Job Requirements
- Working with operators to monitor equipment and make adjustments
- developing and implementing procedures and work instructions
- troubleshooting AB PLC processors and input/output modules
- diagnosing root causes and corrective actions
- performing routine and preventive maintenance
- completing electrical work to industry code including wiring and component installation
- handling stress and maintaining productive work environment
- performing other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (HSED/GED)
- minimum of three years of relevant manufacturing experience
- flexible with off-shift work and overtime
- knowledge of AB PLC processors (CompactLogix and ControlLogix preferred)
- ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, mechanical drawings, and perform PLC troubleshooting
- knowledge of packaging and/or processing equipment
- strong mechanical aptitude
- ability to work in confined spaces
- basic mathematical skills including algebra
- teamwork ability and effective communication
- ability to train and coach others for success
Job Duties
- Monitor manufacturing equipment with operators for proper operation
- make adjustments and repairs to optimize machine performance
- develop and use procedures and work instructions including diagrams and manuals
- troubleshoot AB PLC processors and input/output modules
- diagnose root causes of problems and apply corrective actions
- perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing and facilities equipment
- perform electrical work according to industry code including transformer and motor wiring, component installation, cable termination, panel layout, and circuit troubleshooting
- maintain positive work environment and minimize conflicts
- perform additional duties as assigned
