Job Description
Vina VIK is a distinguished and internationally recognized Chilean luxury winery renowned for its ambitious winemaking philosophy, stunning architectural estate, and premium portfolio of wines. Situated in the scenic Millahue Valley, Vina VIK produces a highly curated selection of estate-driven wines including VIK, Milla Cala, La Piu Belle, Omega, and Stone VIK that are celebrated worldwide for their quality and depth. Vina VIK operates with a dedication to excellence, targeting fine dining establishments, independent retailers, premium regional chains, luxury hospitality venues, and high-end wine programs. With a commitment to fostering strong market presence and distribution, Vina VIK continues to solidify its position as a leading player in the luxury wine segment in Chile and internationally.
The role of an Independent Wine Broker with Vina VIK is a unique 1099 independent contractor opportunity geared towards seasoned sales professionals with established industry connections. This position is commission-based at 100 percent, providing an excellent earning potential for driven individuals who can leverage their existing relationships within the wine market. The Independent Wine Broker will serve as a critical overlay representative responsible for expanding Vina VIK's footprint across a key regional market. This includes strategic development within on-premise channels such as fine restaurants, hotels, and private clubs, alongside off-premise channels including premium retailers and distributors.
Ideal candidates are self-directed brokers or independent sales representatives with a solid reputation and current clients in complementary wineries, distilleries, or breweries. Candidates must be adept at independently managing and accelerating sales momentum without the need for extensive oversight. Success in this role requires a blend of strong trade relationships, credibility with premium wine buyers and sommeliers, and a savvy understanding of the local wine market dynamics.
The broker's responsibilities include identifying lucrative placement opportunities, conducting account visits, executing staff training sessions, orchestrating tastings, and supporting distributor engagement efforts to enhance brand visibility and sales. The ability to provide consistent market feedback and detailed updates on account activities and opportunities is essential to drive effective strategy adjustment and sustained growth.
In summary, this position offers a compelling chance for experienced wine brokers who are passionate about luxury wines and have a proven track record of generating substantial business in the wine sector. Vina VIK values professionalism, organization, commercial acumen, and clear communication skills. Brokers ready to add a prestigious Chilean luxury portfolio to their current wine book will find tremendous opportunity to thrive and contribute significantly to the brand's expansion and success.
