Job Description
Fulflld is a dynamic, scheduled meal marketplace that operates across multiple prominent markets including New York/New Jersey, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, DC, and California. As a company, Fulflld focuses on connecting home cooks with customers in need of prepared meals through an efficient and reliable delivery system. This platform enables talented home cooks to expand their reach and provide quality food options while ensuring customers receive fresh meals directly from local artisans. The company is committed to innovation within the food delivery industry, emphasizing sustainability through reusable containers and packaging, alongside a clear focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Fulflld is currently seeking self-employed independent contractors who possess SUVs or vans and are interested in joining their network to perform food pickup and delivery services. This contract position is unique as it offers flexible scheduling and a transparent, performance-based pay model tailored for individuals who prefer autonomy and consistent work opportunities. Contractors would be operating in multiple urban markets, thus presenting a wide scope of routes and opportunities depending on location and availability.
The role primarily involves two types of routes that contractors can choose based on their preferences and vehicle capacity: Food Pickups and Deliveries. Food Pickup routes entail collecting prepared meals from home cooks, either by visiting them door-to-door or connecting at designated outpost locations. Additionally, contractors will distribute reusable supplies and containers to the cooks, bolstering the zero-waste initiative of the company. After pickups, orders are transported to local hubs where sorting takes place to prepare for distribution.
Delivery routes consist of transporting sorted orders from these hubs to the customers, following specifically assigned route sequences. Contractors must capture clear proof-of-delivery photos which include order details and the customer's address as part of compliance and quality assurance requirements. In some locations, they will also collect reusable containers and supplies from customers during deliveries, facilitating the company’s sustainability efforts.
The position is well-suited for individuals seeking reliable, recurring routes providing steady work with advance scheduling communicated through a dedicated driver application. The company offers compensation mechanisms aligned with the nature of each route type: hourly rates for pickup routes to accommodate waiting times and per-delivery payments plus mileage for delivery routes. New York/New Jersey markets offer additional earnings for reusables collected and supply drop-offs, highlighting the company’s incentivization towards environmentally conscious practices.
Working with Fulflld requires high reliability, organizational skills, and attention to detail as routes have strict timing and coordination requirements to maintain an efficient workflow. Contractors are responsible for their own toll charges and must possess appropriate toll passes to minimize expenses. The company stresses punctual route start times and consistent adherence to in-app instructions ensuring smooth operations and positive customer experiences.
This independent contractor opportunity represents an ideal fit for self-motivated individuals with appropriate vehicles looking for flexible, predictable scheduling coupled with the advantages of repeated routes, weekly payments, and support across multiple major metropolitan markets. Fulflld’s commitment to service quality and sustainability creates a rewarding environment for contractors to grow long-term engagements while contributing to a unique culinary ecosystem.
