Job Description
Fulflld is a dynamic and innovative scheduled meal marketplace operating across several major markets in the United States, including New York/New Jersey, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, Washington DC, and California. This rapidly growing platform connects home cooks with customers by facilitating the pickup and delivery of freshly prepared meals through a dependable network of independent contractors. Fulflld emphasizes sustainable practices by incorporating reusable containers and supplies as part of its service, creating an eco-friendly food delivery model. The company is committed to providing seamless and efficient food logistics solutions that benefit cooks, customers, and contractors alike.
This independent contractor opportunity with Fulflld is designed for self-employed drivers who own SUVs or vans and are interested in flexible, predictable routes that offer the potential for steady income. Contractors can opt to perform food pickups, deliveries, or both, depending on their preferences and market-specific operations. Food pickup routes involve retrieving prepared meals directly from home cooks either by visiting their homes or meeting at designated outpost locations, then transporting the food to a local hub for sorting and further distribution. Delivery routes consist of transporting these orders from the hubs to customers while adhering to provided route sequences and taking necessary proof-of-delivery photos.
Drivers working in the New York/New Jersey market start early, with pickup routes beginning at 7am and requiring deliveries to hubs by 11am. This market also involves door-to-door pickups covering approximately 6-7 stops and opportunities to earn additional income by collecting reusable containers and supplies from customers. Similar flexibility is found in routes across Seattle, Chicago, Boston, DC, and the Bay Area, where drivers meet home cooks at outpost locations and handle deliveries in specified cities.
Fulflld provides an organized and technologically supported environment through a driver app, allowing contractors to receive routes a day in advance and communicate with dispatch if needed. Contractors are expected to follow strict timelines, especially for delivery routes that must be completed within designated windows and in specific sequence. For their commitment and punctuality, drivers receive timely weekly payments. Fulflld also compensates contractors for wait times at hubs exceeding 30 minutes to ensure their time is valued.
This opportunity calls for responsible and detail-oriented individuals who can manage their vehicles for tolls with an EZ tag or equivalent, maintain reliability by starting routes promptly, and uphold accuracy in delivery documentation. Fulflld values long-term partnerships with contractors seeking consistent schedules and a transparent pay structure, making this role an excellent fit for drivers looking to grow with a stable yet independent work arrangement in the food delivery sector.
