Job Requirements

  • Basic mathematical skills to operate cash register, make change, total guest checks, count bank, prepare cash drops, total charges, understand portion sizes
  • Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items
  • Ability to operate keyboard and point of sale procedures
  • Ability to understand, read, write, and speak basic English
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Professional and energetic
  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • At least one year of bar experience
  • Knowledge of spirits and wine
  • Ability to create craft artisan cocktails and specialty drinks
  • Hotel experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work as a part of a team

Job Duties

  • Make cocktails and provide exceptional guest experiences
  • Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily
  • Requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on daily function projections
  • Maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables
  • Greet guests courteously, promote and document drink orders
  • Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
  • Abide by all state, federal, and corporate alcoholic beverage regulations
  • Input orders into register and create checks for guests to maintain accountability
  • Receive cash, make change, verify charges, record transactions, and ensure vouchers are executed
  • Lock and store all beverage, food, and equipment items
  • Deposit cash drops and secure bank
  • Comply with attendance rules and work regularly
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
