Job Description
Ascent Hospitality is a distinguished hospitality company known for its extensive portfolio of hotels and a robust pipeline of new properties and acquisitions. Rather than focusing solely on numbers, Ascent Hospitality prioritizes its people, which is the cornerstone of its culture. The company fosters an environment where both team members and guests can enjoy memorable experiences. Emphasizing teamwork and unity, Ascent Hospitality continuously seeks individuals who collaborate effectively towards common goals. Leadership roles within the organization demand accomplished professionals who have a passion for serving others, possess excellent communication skills to understand the needs of colleagues and guests, and demonstrate adaptability in the face of challenges and change. This people-centered philosophy ensures a dynamic and supportive workplace culture that values innovation, excellence, and hospitality at its core.
Ascent Hospitality is currently looking for a uniquely qualified hospitality leader to fill the role of Bartender. The ideal candidate is a bright mixologist with a keen eye for emerging beverage trends, someone who can infuse energy and warmth behind the bar to create a welcoming and exciting atmosphere for all guests. In this role, the bartender is responsible for crafting diverse and seasonally inspired cocktails that not only meet but exceed guest expectations. This position requires an individual who takes pride in engaging guests with warm conversations and helpful suggestions that enhance their overall experience.
The Bartender role is fundamental to the guest experience at Ascent Hospitality's hotels. The person in this position will be entrusted with managing the bar's daily operations, maintaining adequate stock levels of beer, wine, spirits, and garnishes, and ensuring the presentation and quality of beverages adhere to the highest standards. Additionally, strict adherence to state, federal, and corporate regulations concerning the service of alcoholic beverages is mandatory. The bartender will efficiently handle cash transactions, maintain accountability for all beverages served, and safeguard all bar inventory and cash deposits.
Ascent Hospitality offers a competitive salary along with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, a 401(k) plan with employer match, paid time off, team member hotel discounts, and uniform provision for most positions. The company provides a vibrant work environment with flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, supporting a balanced work-life integration for its team members.
This role demands strong customer service skills, the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and competency in operating point-of-sale systems. Physical stamina is also important as the job requires standing, lifting, manual dexterity, and working efficiently under mentally and physically stressful situations. Candidates with previous hotel experience and at least one year of bar experience who can craft artisan cocktails and have knowledge of spirits and wines will find this opportunity rewarding and aligned with their professional growth.
Joining Ascent Hospitality means becoming part of a team that values professionalism, energy, and a passion for hospitality. If you are a trendsetter ready to embrace challenges and deliver exceptional guest experiences, consider advancing your career with Ascent Hospitality and be part of an exciting future in hospitality leadership.
