Job Description

Levy is a prominent foodservice company with a rich heritage that began over 40 years ago in Chicago as a delicatessen. Over the decades, Levy has expanded its footprint and is now a leading brand in the food, beverage, and retail industry, partnering with more than 200 entertainment, sports, and restaurant venues across the United States. The company is known for its unwavering commitment to creativity, tailored strategies, exceptional service, and an abiding passion for offering great food experiences. As part of the Compass Group family, Levy continues to innovate and set standards that elevate guest experiences through food and hospitality.

This particular opportunity is based at THE Ohio State University, where Levy operates within the iconic Ohio Stadium. The role is designed for individuals passionate about foodservice and hospitality who want to be part of an exciting and energetic environment supporting large-scale sporting events and special caterings. The position offers competitive pay ranging from $13.00 to $16.00 per hour along with opportunities for additional shifts in catering events, creating a flexible and potentially rewarding employment experience.

The role mandates prompt greeting of guests and efficient taking of food and beverage orders, adhering closely to established service protocols. Beyond order taking and delivery, servers are expected to maintain impeccable standards for food safety and sanitation, ensuring a clean and secure dining environment. A deep understanding of menu items and ingredients, including specialized dietary requirements and allergens, is essential to provide knowledgeable guidance and accommodate guest preferences appropriately. Effective communication with both guests and the kitchen team is crucial to ensure accurate and timely delivery of orders.

Additionally, servers play a vital role in fostering a welcoming atmosphere, exhibiting patience, flexibility, and professionalism even in challenging situations. Ticket collection and cash handling are part of the duties, demanding attention to detail and adherence to proper procedures. The job also involves setting up and maintaining the dining area before, during, and after events, including operating various equipment integral to food service operations. Levy supports its associates with benefits such as Instapay, wellness programs, shopping discounts, and more, reflecting the company’s commitment to employee well-being and growth.

Levy embraces diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, fostering a workplace where every team member can thrive regardless of background. The company’s culture encourages individuals to bring unique perspectives and talents to the table, contributing to the collective success and creating memorable experiences for guests. If you are eager to join a dynamic team in a landmark sports venue and contribute to an outstanding foodservice experience, this position offers an excellent platform to develop your skills and be part of a recognized industry leader.
