The Room Service Server position at The Wade is a full-time role with a competitive hourly wage of $17.30. This role is key to ensuring guests receive timely and accurate food and beverage service directly in their rooms, enhancing their overall stay. Responsibilities include taking guest orders over the phone, delivering the orders promptly, verifying order accuracy, adhering to service etiquette, and maintaining the highest standards of personal appearance and cleanliness. The position requires familiarity with the menu, ingredients, preparation methods, beverage selections including wines and cocktails, and well-rounded knowledge of the hotel's layout and amenities.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • be thoroughly familiar with the menus, ingredients, and methods of preparation for each dish, wine list, as well as hours of operation for all food and beverage outlets
  • has a thorough knowledge of the room layout and the property in general, is knowledgeable about the hotel and its amenities
  • collects orders from the kitchen, ensuring they have been prepared correctly
  • promptly and efficiently delivers orders to the guest’s room
  • submits signed checks and reconciles daily sales
  • assists with the collection of room service trays and other food and beverage items from guest rooms, including proper breakdown of trays and items
  • practices all standards of proper service etiquette throughout the guest's dining experience
  • consistently delivers courteous, professional service
  • maintains high standards of cleanliness in personal appearance, equipment, and facility
