The In-Room Dining Server role at CSG represents a vital position within the hospitality division catering to one of the most prestigious boutique hotels in Napa Valley. With an offered compensation rate ranging between $16.90 and $17.90 per hour, the role demands collaboration across various departments, including culinary, housekeeping, and food and beverage teams, to ensure seamless and efficient service. The primary responsibility involves supporting the In-Room Dining operation through meticulous attention to cleanliness, organization, and stocking of service areas, equipment, and delivery stations.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
  • frequently lift, carry, push, and pull trays, carts, tables, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive tasks
  • comfortable working in environments with hot food, wet floors, commercial kitchen equipment, and cleaning chemicals
  • ability to push and maneuver room service carts safely throughout the hotel
  • must be available to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events based on hotel occupancy and business needs

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a bus person, food runner, restaurant busser, in-room dining attendant, or in a hospitality environment preferred
  • one year of hotel, restaurant, or food and beverage experience is preferred
  • strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and positive attitude
  • excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
  • ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and quality
  • ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • must adhere to all hotel policies regarding health, sanitation, and workplace safety
  • use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times as required

Job Duties

  • Collect and clear in-room dining trays, tables, dishware, and service equipment from guest hallways and designated areas in a timely and professional manner
  • transport dishes, glassware, linens, and service items safely to the dishwashing or kitchen area
  • assist In-Room Dining Servers with preparing and organizing meal deliveries
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, storage areas, pantries, and back-of-house workspaces
  • restock linens, silverware, glassware, condiments, menus, and other service supplies throughout each shift
  • ensure guest corridors, service areas, and pantry stations remain clean, organized, and free of clutter
  • assist with setting up and breaking down service stations before and after each shift
  • respond promptly to guest requests and communicate guest needs to the appropriate team members
  • work closely with the culinary, housekeeping, and food and beverage teams to ensure efficient and seamless service
  • follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations in accordance with hotel policies
  • report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, safety hazards, or supply shortages to management
  • perform additional duties as assigned to support hotel operations
