Black Desert Resort is an ultra-premium destination resort located in Southern Utah, renowned for offering luxury accommodations, refined dining options, and elevated guest experiences. This prestigious resort is committed to providing its guests with exceptional hospitality through a combination of exquisite surroundings, impeccable service, and personalized attention. The resort is a prime getaway for travelers seeking tranquility, upscale amenities, and superior service in a beautifully crafted environment. Black Desert Resort prides itself on blending natural beauty with sophisticated design to create a unique, memorable stay that exceeds traditional luxury standards.
The In-Room Dining (IRD) program at Black Desert Resort is a vital part of this commitment, delivering a high-quality food and beverage service experience directly to guest rooms. This service enhances the overall guest experience by providing convenience and personalized dining in the comfort of their accommodations. The IRD program reflects the resort’s dedication to maintaining the highest standards in every aspect of service.
The role of In-Room Dining Supervisor is a full-time leadership position that plays a critical role in managing the daily operations of the IRD department. This position involves overseeing the IRD team and ensuring that all procedures and services align with Black Desert Resort’s ultra-premium hospitality expectations. The supervisor is responsible for maintaining service excellence by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of orders, coaching and supporting team members, managing operational flow, and maintaining quality control throughout the guest service experience.
As a hands-on leader, the In-Room Dining Supervisor balances operational oversight with direct service involvement. The role demands efficiency, multitasking, and problem-solving skills to handle the fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor. This position offers a unique leadership opportunity in a high-impact service area that is central to the resort’s revenue generation.
The role requires a strong commitment to guest satisfaction and a deep understanding of food and beverage service standards. Supervisory responsibilities include training staff, monitoring service delivery, handling guest inquiries and special requests, and collaborating with culinary and front office teams to ensure smooth operations. This role also involves managing administrative tasks like scheduling, labor management, billing accuracy, and inventory control.
Black Desert Resort offers a competitive pay rate of $18 per hour plus a portion of service charges for this full-time position. Additionally, the resort provides comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, employee dining room access, paid time off, and various resort perks. The environment encourages growth, leadership development, and the acquisition of operational expertise in a luxury hospitality setting.
Candidates for the In-Room Dining Supervisor position should bring at least 2 to 3 years of food and beverage experience, preferably in room service or upscale dining, along with prior supervisory or leadership experience. Strong knowledge of service standards, POS proficiency, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment are essential. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, is also required to meet the resort’s operational needs.
Overall, this role offers an outstanding career opportunity with Black Desert Resort where leadership, operational skill, and dedication to ultra-premium hospitality converge to create exceptional guest experiences and contribute to the resort’s continued success.
