Job Description
St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is a renowned luxury hotel brand, known for combining timeless glamour with a contemporary spirit. Part of the global Marriott International family, St. Regis offers exquisite experiences across over 50 prestigious hotels and resorts worldwide. Founded in the early 20th century with the debut of the iconic St. Regis Hotel in New York by John Jacob Astor IV, the brand has continuously set a high standard for unparalleled service. Guests at St. Regis enjoy a sophisticated yet modern atmosphere, elevated by discreet yet personalized butler service and a team of gracious hosts who anticipate and exceed guests' needs.
This opportunity is for a full-time, non-management position within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category at St. Regis' New York location on Two East 55th Street at Fifth Avenue. The position offers a competitive pay range from $17.25 to $23.00 per hour, with an additional training and paid time off rate of $34.50 to $46.00 per hour. The role is tip eligible and requires someone with a genuine passion for food, beverage, and exceptional guest service. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about welcoming guests, knowledgeable of the menu, and committed to creating memorable dining experiences that resonate long after guests' stay.
As a member of the St. Regis food and beverage team, you will be the face of the dining experience, greeting guests warmly, attending to their tables in a timely manner, serving food and drinks with attentiveness, and offering menu recommendations. You will have the opportunity to share your menu expertise to assist guests with questions or special requests, ensuring every detail is perfect. The role also involves using the MICROS system for accurate transaction recording, proactively engaging guests to ensure satisfaction with each dish and beverage served, and contributing to the ambiance by maintaining clean tables, performing closing duties, and replenishing supplies.
St. Regis fosters a collaborative and motivational work environment with supportive management and a team-oriented culture. Employees benefit from various perks including hotel room discounts, gift shop discounts, learning and development opportunities, wellness programs, and recognition initiatives. The organization values positive energy, a guest-centric mindset, and teamwork spirit. This role also requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and maintain a professional appearance in a clean uniform. Safety training and certification are mandatory prior to employment.
Joining St. Regis means joining a global and diverse family where your natural talents will be valued regardless of your background or experience in hospitality. Whether new to the industry or an experienced professional, you will be empowered to grow and explore various career paths within Marriott International’s vast portfolio. The company is steadfast in its commitment to equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring a welcoming workplace for all associates. At St. Regis, you will find not just a job, but a purpose-driven career where you can be your best self while delivering extraordinary service.
